Cairns Police have charged a 13-year-old Parramatta Park boy with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle after it is alleged he broke into two homes over the past two days and stole a vehicle on each occasion.

Police allege the boy forced entry to a home in Viola Close, Bayview Heights at about 4.30am on Monday before stealing cash, car keys and a Ford Kluga. The vehicle was located on Tuesday (April 6).

Police further allege the boy forced entry to a unit in Loretta Drive, Woree sometime between 9pm on Tuesday (April 6) and 8.30am yesterday (April 7) before stealing car keys from the kitchen table and a blue Holden Barina from an open garage.
